Position Summary 

Center Theatre Group seeks an Email Marketing Associate to execute daily email marketing strategies that will deepen our relationship with new and existing patrons through increased ticket, subscriptions, and membership sales.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Build, write, and execute daily emails through WordFly for the marketing department; route emails for approval as needed
  • Coordinate the email communications calendar across the company
  • Report on email open and click-through rates to advise on future email strategy; advise on email structure to ensure optimal open rates, and help craft engaging subject lines
  • Work with Senior Manager, Audience Loyalty to draft promotional copy as needed
  • Proactively monitor website updates to maximize email performance and productivity and request updates when necessary
  • Work with the Associate Content Director and Content Associate to ensure coordination between communications channels (i.e. social media, blog posts, etc.)
  • Support subscription and membership renewal and acquisition annual campaigns, working closely with colleagues to develop corresponding messaging
  • Organize list segmentation for email marketing (single tickets, special offers & promotions, subscriptions, membership, transaction reminders, etc.)
  • Coordinate arts partner cross-promotions with outside organizations (providing copy and assets and building dedicated emails and email inclusions for partners)
  • Provide comprehensive email campaign and appeal analysis and make recommendations for adjustments as needed
  • In consultation with Senior Manager, Audience Loyalty, Marketing Campaigns and Operations Director, Account Sales Manager, and others, develop and execute ticket promotions to increase single ticket, groups, subscription, and membership sales
  • Remain current on emerging technologiesand email marketing best practices
  • Follow Center Theatre Group style guide closely
  • Create systems to streamline approvals, minimize edits, and ensure data integrity and seamless import/export of lists
  • Collaborate closely with members of the Marketing, Communications, Institutional Advancement, and Education teams to ensure alignment of all patron communication activities
  • Work with the Marketing Coordinator and Graphics department for any new email asset requests
  • Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to CTG’s equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives and values and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to an anti-racist work culture 
  • Other duties or projects as assigned

Qualifications 

  • Working knowledge of email marketing software
  • Tessitura, CMS, and WordFly experience preferred
  • Competency, facility, and interest in technology, analytics, and marketing data tools 
  • Technical savvy
  • Superb attention to detail
  • A sense of humor, ability to maintain flexibility in the work environment and handle multiple tasks, and willingness to take initiative and work independently are essential

Minimum Requirements 

  • Ability to sit, type and work at a computer for extended periods of time. 
  • Ability to lift, carry 30lbs
  • Willingness and ability to work 40 hours per week. Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
