Position Summary

Center Theatre Group seeks a Senior Analyst, Gift Accounting and Reporting to join the company’s Institutional Advancement team, reporting to the Director of Advancement Operations. This position will work with the Advancement Operations team on financial, database, management, and reporting needs including processing of daily gift batches in the Tessitura database, the receipt of gifts and pledges, overseeing pledge reconciliation practices in accordance with Center Theatre Group’s policies and procedures, and working within Tessitura Analytics to develop and maintain reports to support in-depth reporting and analysis needs. Additionally, they provide support in areas of stewardship, communications, and data management for fundraising. The Senior Analyst is a vital contributor to the broader efforts of the Institutional Advancement team and is expected to be a proactive team player.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Process accurate and timely entry of all gifts, pledges, payments in Tessitura from all channels.
  • Coordinate the pledge reminders process, data, and schedule for all outstanding pledges, with reminders to be executed by Donor Liaison and Institutional Advancement Associate.
  • Regularly audit gifts processed through other channels (website, phone rooms, box office, and Classy) for accurate coding in Tessitura.
  • Maintain schedule for automatic credit card billing pledges and coordinate declined transaction follow-ups with Donor Liaison and Institutional Advancement Assistant.
  • Ensure the front-line team provides pledge supporting documents, details for donor invoicing, providing acknowledgement preferences, and updated credit card or payment detail in Tessitura.
  • Verify and process all corporate matching gifts for submission to the matching company.
  • Maintain entry and keep appropriate records of all planned giving commitments with support from fundraising staff.
  • Support operations team in financial tracking and reporting projects by maintaining up to date and accurate donation records and solicitation plans in Tessitura in collaboration with the Director of Advancement Operations and Assistant Director of Prospect & Strategy.
  • Add constituent records and contact details to the database during gift processing procedures and analyze information from gift support to update donor records regularly.
  • Maintain all gift and pledge supporting documents on shared drive for Advancement office.
  • Participate in evaluation of the team’s data entry processes to propose solutions for gift processing, reconciliation, and receipting.
  • Participate in supporting colleagues in the Finance department during financial audit by providing scanned documents for selected transactions, and other requests when directed.
  • Collaborate with Director of Advancement Operations and Annual Giving Coordinator on the creation and accurate maintenance of Tessitura Analytics-based reports and supporting data, to enable risk assessment and overall budget reporting needs for executive leadership and Board of Directors.
  • Work with Advancement Operations Director and the IT team to maintain new reports in Tessitura Analytics to track fundraising efforts and ensure their proper functioning for donor and portfolio metric analysis needs.
  • Support the Advancement Operations Director with the integration of Tessitura, Classy, and CTG website including developing and troubleshooting new web functionality and/or pages.
  • Participate in the Tessitura Power Users Group and actively maintain a thorough understanding of any changes to the Tessitura application.

  • Attend and work Donor events throughout the season; some nights and weekends required.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience working at a non-profit with financial information and/or data-entry type role with a great attention to detail preferred.
  • Basic understanding of financial accounting principles and experience handling sensitive customer information preferred.
  • Experience using fundraising enterprise software, Tessitura preferred.
  • Experience in MS Word and Outlook, with advanced knowledge of Excel a plus.
  • The ideal candidate will be detail and action oriented, have a quantitative mindset, and an interest in supporting the mission of Center Theatre Group.

Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to sit, type and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Willingness and ability to work 40 hours per week. Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with deadlines.
