Programs in Culver City
Culver City Unified School District
We're proud to be a part of the Front and Center Theatre Collaborative, a program of the Culver City Unified School District. We work together with other local theatre companies—The Actors’ Gang, We Tell Stories, Young Storytellers Foundation, 24th STreet Theatre, and Story Pirates—to coordinate theatre programming across the entire district in an effort to best serve students at all grade levels.
We host students of all ages for performances and events at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City. And we're proud to have built a particularly deep partnership with the Culver City High School Academy of Visual and Performing Arts (AVPA). AVPA students have engaged with our work in a variety of ways, including through semester-long Teaching Artist residencies, attending productions, performing on the Douglas stage, and hosting the AVPA's annual Java Gala fundraiser at the Douglas.
Special thanks to Sony Pictures Entertainment, the Fineshriber Foundation, Carol and James Collins Foundation, Culver City Educational Foundation, and Joseph Drown Foundation for their generous support of Front and Center.
