Because sometimes we hold our words in.
Sometimes we can’t say what we wish to say.
And sometimes we can’t find our words.

In this American Idiot inspired dance workshop, Janelle Dote Portman, Associate Choreographer of American Idiot, will lead you through warmups, dance combinations, small group movement work, cool down, and journal prompts. Explore any and everything from rage to joy, because it’s all valid because it’s all YOU!

All materials provided while supplies last. An ASL interpreter will be available for this workshop- we invite and encourage folks from the Deaf and hearing communities to attend. Open to folks ages 18 and older, but space is limited so you must RSVP!

Since 2013, Center Theatre Group has partnered with local artists, organizations, schools, libraries, and other groups to enrich cultural conversations in L.A. neighborhoods and to encourage Angelenos to bring the art of theatre deeper into their lives, and to use it to share and explore their own stories.

Through free workshops, events, productions, discussions, and other activities that take place at traditional and nontraditional venues, we connect with community members and artists throughout our city, and join in and facilitate inclusive and thoughtful cultural conversations.
